Champ is a 6 year old English Bulldog that at one time, was loved and well cared for. Unfortunately, something changed and Champ was no longer a priority to his family. When we picked him up, we could feel every bone in his body, he had fleas, and he smelled like he just crawled out of the trash can. He quickly settled into his foster home and is enjoying his new lifestyle!
He is living with another dog right now, but like a lot of neglected dogs, he does have some resource guarding when it comes to his favorite toys and people. With proper training, understanding, boundaries, and an owner willing to work with him, he could likely live with another dog. However, if someone that didn't have any other doggos that he had to share with was available to adopt him, that would be his first choice!!
Champ has idiopathic head tremors, so sometimes he gets tremors that cause his head to shake, but they do not harm him in any way or effect his quality of life. This is a common condition in bulldogs and does not require any treatment.
Champ is scheduled to get neutered in a few weeks and then will be ready to find his forever family!
Champ is on medical hold.
We are not accepting applications at this time. When Champ is ready to find his forever family- please visit: www.midmichiganpugclub.org to review the adoption process. Champ's adoption fee is $375.00
**Information for this smoosh face is subject to change as we learn more**
Please understand that submitting an application does not guarantee an interview. We simply do not have the bandwidth. We take great care in trying to match our dogs with what we believe to be the best home for their needs. Every dog is an individual and there are many factors we take into consideration, from medical to behavioral, to environment. We are sorry that some of you will be disappointed but ultimately a dog can only be adopted to one home.
We are a Michigan based rescue, and while we are open to apps from all over the US - and have adopted to many states - adopting out-of-state is a big deal for us and you MUST travel to Michigan to pick up the dog and make the adoption final. Thank you.
